
Most of all, Ruth adored her family and enjoyed the time they spent together, She was also a member of the Country Couples and Art Guild while actively volunteering at the Bronson Library and Bronson Food Pantry. Ruth had many hobbies and interests including painting, reading mysteries, crossword puzzles, playing cards, taking photos of flowers, traveling, sewing, quilting, and jigsaw puzzles. She was an active member of Bethel Gilead Community Church where she had played the organ. Ruth had formerly been a secretary at the farm service agency and later worked for the township and county treasurer’s office. After graduating from Quincy High School in 1937, she married Loren Bidwell on February 20, 1944, who died in November of 1983.

Ruth was born on December 2, 1919, the daughter of William and Anna (Bartell) Eichler in Butler Township.

Visitation will be held on Thursday, Jfrom 2:00-4:00 and 6:00-8:00 PM at Dutcher-Kolcz Funeral Home in Bronson. Interment will follow at East Gilead Cemetery. The funeral will be held on Friday, Jat 11:00 AM at Bethel Gilead Community Church with Pastor Jim Erwin officiating.
